“Leave everything open and go ahead.”

Michael Müller, the new head of the National Team Strengthening Committee, commented on the future of Korean soccer.

The Korea Football Association held a press conference on the 11th at 2:00 p.m. at the press conference on the 2nd floor of the Soccer Hall located in Jongno-gu, Seoul, where Muller was inaugurated as the head of the National Power Enhancement Committee.

Chairman Müller, who was the chairman of the association’s technology development, was appointed as the successor of former chairman Lee Yong-soo. This is the first time that a foreigner has been appointed to the head of the National Team Strengthening Committee, which is responsible for fostering and managing the national team.

Chairman Müller, who is from Germany, took office as a leader training instructor for the Korea Football Association in April 2018, and since the fall of that year, he has served as the association’s technical development chairman twice.

He has been working for the development of youth soccer in Korea, such as educating front-line leaders and introducing the 8v8 game in elementary school. Before he came to Korea, he worked as a coach for the German Football Association for 10 years. He has coached the German U-15 and U-18 national teams and was a scout for the U-21 national team, helping them win the 2017 UEFA U-21 Championship.

Chairman Müller, who introduced himself in Korean, said, “I am happy to be the new head of the Power Reinforcement Committee. He said, “I am honored,” and “I have set the standard for the next director.”

“I received a group of candidates from the former Power Reinforcement Committee. Thank you, but for now, I plan to keep everything open and push forward with a blank slate. We will also review our personal network,” he added.

Below is the full Q&A from the press conference for the new chairman, Michael Müller.

Q. Self-introduction
: My name is Michael Müller. If it’s called Michael, he does. It’s because it’s a little more international pronunciation. I am delighted to be the new Chairman of the Power Reinforcement Committee. he is proud

 Q. How far has the next coach progressed
: There have been many changes in the meantime. The Power Reinforcement Committee is scheduled to open and discuss this part. I have already made a rough selection criteria. Appointment will be initiated according to the guidelines. So far, there is no special nationality distinction. Since we have clear standards, we will proceed with the procedure according to those standards. Things related to the contract period will depend on negotiations. Personally, I think it is better to sign a long-term contract.

 Q. Is there anything you can disclose
about the guide: First of all, we heard the requirements from the Korea Football Association. We made five guidelines. The first is professionalism, and the second is the director’s experience. The third is how motivating this manager is, and the fourth is teamwork ability. Lastly, personally, I would like to name it as an environmental factor. We plan to take into account how well I, the Korea Football Association, and the coach can satisfy each other, and how well I can adapt to Korea, not just soccer, but outside of soccer issues, for example. However, all of this has to be looked at from an individual point of view, so I will be reviewing my resume. This can be seen as a general guideline.

 Q. Is there anything added to the first round of candidates prepared by the former chairperson?
: As I said, I received a group of candidates from the full-time Power Reinforcement Committee. Thank you, but for now, I plan to keep everything open and push forward with a blank slate. We will also review our personal network.

 Q. The players also said that they would openly voice their opinions on appointing a coach. Will they accept it?:
Personally, I think my position is a communication role and a coordinator. I will communicate with all the KFA staff as well as the players. I think there will be enough communication in that part. It’s a pity, but it seems to be difficult for the public.

 Q. Are you planning to disclose the process of appointing a director?
: First of all, I would like to say that we are proceeding with such a logical and comprehensive selection process. To some extent, I will make a list and conduct interviews. We will narrow down the list by evaluating the interviews. He plans to report to the association and even sign an autograph after the final negotiations. The head coach is important as a leader, so we will also look at leading the coaching staff.

 Q. Will you appoint a coach who will inherit Bento’s soccer philosophy?
: Of course. We want to appoint a leader who connects philosophy. I think it’s important to always know what we want and how we’ve been.

 Q. There is a story that you have changed from a domestic coach to a foreign coach, but is the aforementioned personal network (the chairman’s nationality) German?
: Of course I am German, but I have to think internationally. As I said before, I am thinking with all directions open. The process for the seniority process was explained, and the criteria were also discussed. In the future, we will proceed with this work step by step and continue to provide information as possible.

 Q. Budget seems to be important.
: I’m sorry, but it seems difficult to mention the budget in my position. sorry.

 Q. Do you have any plans after appointing the director?
: As I said before, I am a communicator and a coordinator. When a director is appointed, everything will be new. I will give feedback to support you as much as possible with my expertise and ability.

 Q. After appointing the men’s national team, you have to strengthen the women’s and age groups. Do you have any plans?
: I have changed many systems while working for the Football Association for 4 and a half years. We need to think about how to develop this in the future. Other national teams must develop, but we will also develop individual players and coaches. You cannot open the windows on the basement floor when you are outside. So I will act as a communicator to ensure that leaders and teams communicate smoothly.

 Q. You said you would inherit the football philosophy of your former coach, what do you see as your strengths, and what are the world football trends?
: I also worked for 4 years, but we discussed the vision of our association until last week. I think this philosophy should include the values that Korean soccer pursues. There will be a strong spirit, fighting spirit, and fighting spirit. There may also be developments in personal characteristics. Above all, we need to set the direction for what we want. It is an independent part of the basic order or play style.
As for the second question, I watched all the matches at the Qatar World Cup with KFA TSG. I don’t think there are any weak or strong teams anymore. In particular, it seems that the three teams that advanced to the semifinals or higher had a strong fighting spirit. It seems that the dynamic part has increased. He did not just run fast, but showed dynamic parts in the decision-making process. Second, diversity has increased. Teams varied in tactics between games. The individual development was also amazing, and the teamwork was the same. And he had psyche.

 Q. I know that the deadline for appointing a director is in February, but could it be delayed further if the process is left blank?
: There is always a difficult part in the soccer business to predict a specific date. More important than that is going in the right direction. Rather than unconditionally quickly, I am confident that I can be appointed as a manager according to our procedures. 온라인카지노

 Q. When appointing a coach, you said that you would reflect the opinions of the players, but when do you plan to reflect them?
: To be honest, I didn’t think anything specific about this part.
