It can automatically purify the air by supplying air from the outer membrane and protect the internal space from the external environment such as fine dust.
In addition, by installing an indirect lighting system, you can concentrate on training and competition without glare and shadow interference.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism promoted the completion of the air dome through a public offering by local governments in 2020, and Gyeongju City, which was selected as the project destination, spent a total of 10.7 billion won, including 5 billion won from the government, to complete the air dome.
The facility was built on 10,000 square meters of land in the Wellness Center in Cheongun-dong, near the Bomun Tourist Complex, and is the first in Korea to have a regular-sized indoor soccer field, bleachers, training space, meeting rooms, offices, and locker rooms.
The Air Dome will be officially opened in April after a two-month pilot operation period from February.
