SSG Landers foreign hitter Guillermo Heredia’s return is imminent.

Heredia, who was sidelined with a thigh injury on April 4, made his first live at-bat on April 22. He has already started training with tee-batting. On the 24th, he will bat live once more and will have a practice check in the second team game on the weekend.

Coach Kim Won-hyung said, “Live batting is scheduled again on the 24th,” and “I will play in the second team game on the weekend. We’ll check it out then, and I think we can return as early as next week.”

SSG’s second team is scheduled to play the Doosan Bears second team in the Futures League on the 26th and 27th in Icheon. If Heredia is deemed fit to return, he could join the team for a three-game midweek series against the Kiwoom Heroes starting on August 29.

With Heredia back, SSG will be able to revitalize their offense. Even though he’s basically a foreigner, he’s got an energetic personality that can liven up the atmosphere. Most importantly, he can energize the team on the field.

In 85 games before his injury, he batted .325 (108-for-325) with 11 home runs, 58 RBIs, a .396 on-base percentage, a .492 OPS, and a .888 slugging percentage.

Through 21 days, the Samsung Lions’ Koo Ja-rook is first (.345) and the NC Dinos’ Son Ah-seop is second (.332) in the batting order, but Heredia had the highest average before his injury.토토사이트

Along with Choi, he was responsible for SSG’s offense. The SSG bats have been in need of a breakthrough lately. The hitters have been out of their “batting cycles” across the board. The bats need to support the pitchers with runs to keep them afloat. Without scoring runs, the pitchers will have to endure close games.
