Ha-Sung Kim (27-San Diego) recorded double-digit stolen bases for the second straight season.

Kim started at first base and went 1-for-4 with a walk, a hit, a stolen base and two runs scored against Miami on Sunday at Marlins Park in Miami, Florida.

The hit and stolen base came in his second at-bat of the game in the top of the fourth inning, trailing 1-0. Leading off, Kim took a three-pitch, 154-mile-per-hour fastball from left-hander Jesus Rusardo for a big double off the left-field fence. Kim, who hadn’t hit for extra bases in six games since May 25 against Washington, was ready to go. He stole third on the next at-bat from Fernando Tatis Jr. and came home on Tatis’ double. It was his 10th stolen base of the season, marking the second straight year he has reached the 10-stolen base plateau.

As a mid-to-long range hitter, Kim’s quick feet and mobility are his specialty. In his seven seasons in the KBO, he stole 20 or more bases four times and finished second in stolen bases with 33 in 2019.

After stealing six bases in his first year in the majors, he stole 12 last year and 10 this year. This year, the pace has been even faster. After stealing six bases in 298 at-bats in his first year and 12 in 582 at-bats last year, he has 10 in 194 at-bats this year. He had 10 stolen bases in less than a third of the games. As he’s gotten more consistent playing time, his game has definitely stabilized.토토사이트

His feet, in particular, have been on fire lately. After opening the season with five stolen bases in April, Kim went quiet after his sixth stolen base on May 10 against Minnesota. However, he stole four straight games, starting on May 29 against the New York Yankees.

After tying the game at 1-1, San Diego rallied to score seven runs in the top of the sixth inning and went on to win 10-1. With the score 7-1, Kim drew a two-out, 1-3 pitch to start the sixth and came home on Tatis Jr.’s double to drive in the team’s 10th run.
