The San Francisco Giants of the American Professional Baseball (MLB) have acquired right-hander Luke Jackson (31).

MLB.com announced on the 10th (Korean time) that it had signed an option contract with San Francisco for right-handed pitcher Luke Jackson, who is recovering from elbow surgery, for a total of 11.5 million dollars (approximately 14.3 billion won) over two years. 토토

Jackson is condition to receive an annual salary of $3 million in the 2023 season and $6.5 million in the 2024 season. In 2025, the Giants club has an option to renew the contract for $7 million, and if released, a penalty of $2 million is paid.

Jackson, who made his MLB debut in a Texas Rangers uniform in 2015, was unable to play due to elbow surgery in the 2022 season, but was active as a bullpen when the Atlanta Braves won the World Series in 2021. He appeared in 71 games on the season, striking out 70 in 63 2/3 innings and had a career-high 1.98 earned run average. Earlier in the 2019 season, he played 70 games, recorded 18 saves, and recorded an average ERA of 3.84, making a big success in Atlanta’s bullpen.

However, Jackson suffered from Tommy John (elbow ligament) surgery last season and was unable to play in a single game. It is still unclear whether he will start before the opening of the 2023 season.
