The ‘defending champion’ SSG Landers squad enters the spring camp schedule to prepare for the 2023 season. The SSG team announced on the 20th that they will be holding spring camps in Florida, USA (1st) and Okinawa, Japan (2nd) from the 30th (Mon) to March 8th.

A total of 62 people will participate in this camp, including coach Kim Won-hyeong, 17 coaching staff, 22 pitchers, 4 catchers, 10 infielders and 9 outfielders. To foster prospects, 7 players with less than 2 years of experience were also included, including 4 newcomers in 2023 and 3 newcomers in 2022.

In the aftermath of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19), it is an overseas training camp that will be held again in three years since the 2020 Florida-Arizona Camp in the United States. In 2021 and last year (2022), the club set up a spring camp in Seogwipo, Jeju Island.

The first camp will be held at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Florida, USA from the 30th to the 26th of February. The first camp focuses on fostering promising players along with technical and tactical training.

The 2nd camp will be held from February 28th to March 8th at Ishikawa Baseball Stadium in Okinawa, focusing on practice games to enhance the players’ real sense of play. SSG is scheduled to play practice matches against Lotte Giants twice and Hanwha Eagles and Samsung Lions once each in Okinawa.

Athletes participating in the camp will depart from Incheon International Airport on the 30th via Korean Air (KE035). Thirteen players in individual training, including Kim Gwang-hyeon (pitcher) and Choi Jeong (infielder), will depart early to the camp site on the 18th and 25th for local adaptation and self-training. Choo Shin-soo (outfielder) will also join the Florida camp on the 25th in the US. 헤라카지노
